Twickenham Film Studios contacted us, to find out if any of our croupiers had heard of, or played a game called ‘Faro’.

As all of our croupiers have a ray of knowledge and experience from working within the gaming industry, we were able to find a croupier that new how to deal and play ‘Faro’. 

Charles Ornstein was hired as an advisor for the film ‘The Duschess’. The film company were so overwhelmed  by Charles’s  expertise, that he was then asked to be the ‘Faro dealer’. Charles starred alongside Keira Knightley in the scene as the dealer.

Charles has been Involved in casino industry since 1970 hence is vast knowledge and array experience. Charles has also had scenes in: - Cracker, Beau Brummel & The Deal & has advised in many other films where gaming knowledge has been required.

The Duchess is being produced by Pathé Productions and BBC Films and stars Keira Knightley as The Duchess; Ralph Fiennes as her husband The Duke; Hayley Atwell as her best friend Lady Elizabeth Foster; and Dominic Cooper as her lover, Earl Grey. The film will be released sometime next year.

Again, another successful Training Day and full house!

Croupiers from across the country took part in the Texas Hold'em Training day (pot limit and no limit); due to the enthusiasm of each croupier, it truly was a great day.

Some of the croupiers that attended currently work for Ace of Diamonds in different parts of the country, whilst others have not yet had the pleasure of working as part of our team.

As well as being a training day, it was also a great opportunity for croupiers to meet for the first time & exchange information about the different service providers during lunch.

We will be looking to run the next Texas Hold'em Poker School in September.
